The Loft offers a range of development and support services to prepare youth for work and life:

Job Readiness and Career Development

First job support: Learn what it is like to work and gain experience.

Resume building: Assistance with creating or improving a resume.

Interview preparation: Practice interviews to build confidence when talking to employers.

Life coaching and Job Readiness: Get helpful advice and tips.

References: Staff can provide a reference when needed.

Life Skills and Personal Support

Life skills: Learn things like communication and time management.

Peer Support: Meet other youth to talk, listen, and make new friends.

One-on-One Staff Time: Friendly staff are available to help with questions and provide support.

Outreach and External Partners

Youth Outreach Worker (NL Health Services): Available at The Loft on Mondays and Wednesdays, offering support, a monthly activity, and a free snack.

Presentations: Hosts different presentations, including from Violence Prevention East and NL Health Services.

Partners: Works with organizations like Avalon Employment Inc., Violence Prevention East, and REACH (Regional Action Committee on Housing).
